Handbuilding with clay is the oldest form of ceramics, and can be very rustic to very intricate. This class allows you to start wherever you are, gain basic skills that allow you to explore your own creative path, and helps you succeed in realizing your vision. All materials and supplies are included.
Learn construction, texturing, finishing, and design at your own pace. Techniques include pinch, coil, slab, and carve. We will deal with form, texture, glazing, and principles of design. If you don’t know where to begin but want to learn, we will start with some basics and grow from there. If you have a specific idea you want to realize, we will work together to make it happen.

Sessions start the first Sunday of the month. One session is four consecutive Sundays. Class fee includes clay, glazes, tools, firing. Enrollment is for the calendar month session. You may pay by cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, or credit card. Your seat is secured when you pay. If you register and find you cannot make the class schedule, you may be refunded or rescheduled until the class starts on the first sunday of the month.
Please note that the gallery and studios are officially closed on Sunday and Monday, and only students will be in the studio. Classes are scheduled outside of regular business hours to afford students space to learn.
Parking on the street is free on sundays.
